Wenatchee

While a wealth of entertainment and employment opportunities exists in Wenatchee’s diverse valley, the town’s proximity to Seattle is another reason people from all walks of life love to call it home. One of the first things that may come to mind when considering Seattle is rain. While it certainly gets its share, it doesn’t actually always rain there. In fact, many east coast towns get more annual precipitation than Seattle does and it experiences dry, sunny weather in the summer. Seattle has mild year-round temperatures, with outdoors enthusiasts enjoying the many parks, trails and climbing opportunities every month of the year. So while the most common Seattle weather is cool and overcast, creating a mystical ambiance to the lush green hills that have earned Seattle the nickname “The Emerald City,” rest assured; whether you’re visiting or relocating to Seattle, you won’t need your umbrella every day.

The second thing you may think of is the culture. Widely known for its influence on musicians and artists, Seattle has drawn craftsmen and women of all persuasions for years to the unique texture of its many distinct districts. But there’s a wealth of other sorts of recreation and entertainment here too. From orchestra and chamber music venues to countless performing and literary arts of all kinds, parks, fitness, theaters, museums, restaurants, bars, clubs and of course some of the nation’s best coffee shops open their doors to Seattle’s more than three million residents every day.

Seattle is also visually stunning. From its lush green hills to its breathtaking skyline punctuated by the famous space needle, to the surrounding blue water and stately mountains, it is easy to see why so many people love calling this diverse city home. A thriving economy, celebrated focal point of the arts and excellent educational institutions add to the countless reasons Seattle is one of the best cities in the nation.
